Day 2 – 23 Day Fitness Challenge

Welcome back for Day 2 of the 23 Day Fitness Challenge !

Day 1 was more of a total body circuit and I was glad to learn that a whole lot of you liked it. Whether you finished the target set by me or no doesn’t matter. That fact that you are back to come and get your routine for Day 2 affirms that fact that you are up for any challenge I throw at you.

Here you go !


Day 2: Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication

Equipment required: Just a Yoga mat !

Warm Up: Light Jog or Spot Jog for 5 Minutes

The routine for Day 2 has just one Exercise or Asana as Yoga practisioners call it. Perform the routine on a Yoga mat. You can perform the same in your room or even outdoors.

  • Perform 10 Surya Namaskars (Sun Salutations) using the 12 step process. (watch video)
  • Perform 10 repetitions in a round (set)
  • Aim to complete 5 rounds (sets)
  • Take sufficient breaks
  • Do your best ! It’s okay if you can’t complete the 5 rounds as mentioned above but remember to give in your best.

Cool Down: Stretch it out ! (DO NOT SKIP THIS) (watch video)

Although just one exercise, this could be a game changer if it’s incorporated in your daily life. I’m taking you back to basics and showing you what is really required. There is nothing more powerful than positive energy flowing through a human body. The Sun Salutation connects the body to your soul. Trust yourself and love yourself. 🙂
